Coming from a long line of musicians, you can say Chris Taylor was born with a passion for music in Toomsboro, GA., now based in Milledgeville, Ga. Raised on good 'Ol Southern Country like Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Jonny Cash, and Hank Williams, Sr., Chris began singing at age 2 and has been playing the guitar since he was 15 years old. Losing his papa in 2008 was the hardest thing he had ever faced. Chris became determined more than ever to pursue his dream to write, play, and sing country music. He began his first band "Highway 80" in high school performing Christian Rock with bandmates Dalton Smith, Austin Knight, and Brandon Rowell. Later on, Chris made changes and started a new band "Taylor Made" including himself, Austin, and Brandon. The Album "Six Strings and a Dream" was released in 2011. Determination paid off when Chris was able to audition for American Idol in 2013, and also for The Voice in 2014 where he was 1 of 8 chosen out of 18,000 people. His most recent competition was in May 2016 for Open Mic night at Eddie's Attic. You will rarely find him without his guitar because he enjoys playing for his family, friends, and anyone who will listen. "I've definitely been blessed. Music is all I know and all I want to do", says Chris when complemented on his smooth unique vocals. Chris has spent all of 2016 performing acoustic shows only and has also spent that year sharing the stage as an opening act artists to include Glen Templeton, Jacob Braynt, Faren Rachels, Travis Denning, Cole Taylor, Tyler Hammond, and Ray Fulcher. He released his new EP "Back Home" in August 2016 and is now moving in a new direction with starting up a new band to include his old bandmate and longtime friend, Austin Knight. In December 2016, Chris signed with Georgia Country and in January 2017, Chris signed a development deal with Bigfoot Music & Outdoors. "We are very excited to have Chris on our Roster. We have been watching his progress for the last 4 years and we feel like now is the right time", said John "JR" Roberson, CEO, Bigfoot Music & Outdoors. The sky is the limit for Chris as his future continues to get brighter!
