Megan's journey with musical performance began at the very early age of six when she belted out a solo during a children's musical at church. At the age of 14, Megan began voice lessons with a local teacher who challenged Megan not only in how she sounded but also in how she pronounced each word as she sang it. Megan was an honor graduate of Taylor County High School in 2012 and is currently attending college while pursuing her dream of a career in the music industry. In April 2011, Megan began taking guitar lessons and quickly realized that the guitar is her instrument. She soon progressed to accompanying herself on stage with her beloved Taylor guitar as she began branching out to larger stages and venues. In 2010, she joined the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association, and was chosen as the GCGMA Female Entertainer of the Year in New Country in 2010. This association opened doors for her to perform at showcases in the Listening Room Café, Hard Rock Café, and Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, where she was discovered in June 2011 by Bernard Porter, president and founder of PCG Nashville, a renowned artist development company. Megan participated in PCG's Athena Program from October 2011 through August 2012, until Porter considered her advanced enough to make an early move into the Emerging Artists Program. In July 2013, Megan won the Country Talent Search through Georgia-Country. Com in Manchester. Through PCG Nashville Megan has been working with top songwriters to write her own songs and hopes to release her first song on iTunes very soon. Music has been a thread that has woven through Megan's life, becoming not only what she does, but also who she is. "Music has always been a part of me," Megan says. "It's always been something I've loved." Megan has become a regular performer as many venues un middle Georgia. On Nov 9th, 2013, Megan won The 2013 Georgia Country Award for Female Artist of the Year and on Saturday night, June 14th, she won the Country Female Artist of the Year at the 2014 Georgia Music Awards, held at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta. Megan REPEATED as Country Female Artist of the Year at the 2015 Georgia Music Awards. Megan also won for the second time in three years, the Georgia Country Award for Female Artist of the Year. The show was held at The Crazy Bull in Macon, Ga, Nov 8th, where she and her band also performed. In Sept 2016, Megan was once again a Finalist in both the Georgia Music Awards for Country Female Artist of the Year and the Georgia Country Awards for Female Artist of the Year. On Sept 10th, she performed at the 2016 Jug Tavern Festival, opening for Phil Vasser.
